Training to support Innovators on their journey

RIL Uganda builds innovators’ capacity in selected areas so that they can maximize their ability to deliver successful innovations. The training programme is open to both community-based organizations and social enterprises led by Ugandans or refugees with a focus on generating impact relevant for refugee communities or other vulnerable population groups affected by crises.

A tailored curriculum has been developed based on an analysis of capacity gaps and existing other training programmes in Uganda. It has been delivered in partnership with Save the Children, United Social Ventures and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.

Topics cover include: 1- Safeguarding, 2- Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning using the bespoke toolkit developed by RIL for innovations, 3- Team building, 4- Resource Mobilization, and 5- Intellectual Property Rights.

One of the participants shared that as a result of the MEAL training “they got clarity on their target beneficiaries and this redefined their strategy on how they accessed them and how they distributed their products.”
