Early Adolescent Skills for Emotions (EASE) Pilot for Kyaka

Skilling for emotional development

Partners: African Women and Youth Action for Development (AWYAD), Chance for Childhood

Goal: Refugee adolescents are often left out of child protection & community support structures. Traumatic experiences and the impact of COVID have worsened mental health and wellbeing. Limited access to mental health and psychosocial services (MHPSS) has left many vulnerable to negative coping mechanisms. Informed by the adolescents consulted, our solution will utilize WHO’s innovative EASE model addressing the psychosocial challenges faced by children & adolescents and designed specifically for non-medical persons.
